Wow, I have missed Deviant Art this past year. Unfortunately life has caught up with me allowing little time for me to enjoy all the amazing work of the people I follow here. I hope you are all doing well and still shooting away. I hope to find some time here and there to still visit and share in all your creativity.

My life in the past year since visiting DA:

2 lighthouse trips. One around the Great Lakes and one to New England.
New job in IT.
Got engaged to an amazing girl.
Re-established a relationship with Christ.

Life is pretty great for me. What a time to be alive

New Year

New year.

New me in the making?

Possibly, though moments of levity and inspiration seem to be quite fleeting.

Time to hit up CareerBuilder again to find the elusive IT netwoking job. I've heard they are occasionally spotted in the Twin Cities area, though I have not seen them. Time to get a job related to why I went to college in the first place.

After never doing any travel until my early 20's, at 27 I now have really fallen in love with it. I'm looking into a trip to Maine in the spring to take more pictures of Lighthouses. Not sure what's with the lighthouse obsession. Nothing phallic I assure you. Penises are gross. Sexual innuendo aside, I'm excited to fly in a plane for the first time too.

Upcoming Trip

First off I must say as of late I am overly impressed with the quality of work coming from the people I watch here on deviant art. Spring breeds inspiration it seems.

I am quite excited to be going on a week long trip starting May 10th. I'll be traveling the upper peninsula of Michigan. I plan to see as many lighthouses as I can along the way. Even at 26 this will be my first out of state trip by myself and I am both nervous and excited. I'm a fairly positive person in general, but as of late, life seems to be getting the best of me. This will be much needed to say the least. I hope to have lots to share when I get back. Stay deviant everyone.
